United for Life of Merced County was established in 1972. We are a nonprofit organization of diverse and caring people united to protect the precious gift of human life from conception to natural death. By 1979, we started utilizing education booths at the Merced County fair to get our pro-life message out. Today we have expanded to more than a dozen county fairs and festivals, plus we send out newletters at least three times per year, reaching thousands in our mission of educating, changing minds and saving lives.
Our mission is simple: Protect life from conception to natural death. We believe in the inalienable right to life of every person; those in the womb, those born, the enderly, disabled and healthy. We reject the notion that a right is granted to the powerful to rule over the powerless. We feel that whenever society abandons the principle that utter helplessness demands utter protection, the rights of the unborn are not the only rights being questioned or that will be violated.
